11 Ways To Get Into The Right Mindset To Accomplish Your Goals!

  1. Write it down. Whatever you’re trying to do, whether it be exercising more, eating healthier, or just getting your work done faster, it always feels more official when you write it down.  (after you complete your goal, you also feel much more accomplished when you check it off a list ;))
  2. Come up with a game plan. Don’t just jump right into it because when you come up with a plan, your goal seems way more manageable and a lot less scary.
  3. Talk to someone who has done it before. Having someone help you through a change is always good, especially when you can relate to each other. Plus, if you are ever having a hard time you can ask them what they did.
  4. Progress gradually. You can not just go from zero to one hundred in a day, you have to take it one step at a time. Changing things in your life is never easy if you do it all at once. You have to make gradual changes so that you can create new habits and get rid of old ones.
  5. Make “mini goals”. Come up with a bunch of little goals leading up to your ultimate goal, once again, it makes you bigger goal seem less scary and way more manageable.
  6. It’ okay to go back, but not too far. If you made a jump that you weren’t ready for, it’s okay to take a couple steps back. However, you have to be careful not to end up back at square one.
  7. Keep going. Don’t just give up on your goal half way! you can do this! you have to know the difference between when something is hard and when it’s too much. It is okay to go back when it’s overwhelming or too much, but keep going even if it’s hard! making changes is not easy, so you will have to push yourself.
  8. Come up with a pattern. When you find a pattern in your work towards a goal, it is much because it makes things consistent. When you do the same thing over and over it creates muscle memory making your new habits easier to keep doing. when you are ready to move on to the next step in your plan, find a new pattern to make your next mini goal easier to accomplish.
  9. Do not stay stuck. If you accomplish a smaller goal, do not stay stuck, you have to push yourself to move on to your next goal because if you stay at that step you will never get to your main goal!
  10. Stay positive. It is amazing that you’re taking action on wanting to change something/improve something in your life, that alone is something to be proud of. If you don’t do something perfect the first time, do not get down on yourself because you can always try again. Just hold your head up high, keep on trying, and know that you’re doing something awesome!
  11.  Trust. Trust yourself, your family, and your friends. If you believe that you can accomplish your goal, then you will… It’s all about your mindset! Trust and your family and friends are there for you when you are having a rough day, they are always there to support you and help you through any roadblock that you may have.
